'Nicolas Reau began his professional career in Paris as a Jazz Pianist, despite his love for wine he was of the belief that you couldn’t become a vigneron without family ties. Though one day he stumbled upon and advert in a newspaper for a professional degree in oenology at Montreuil and moved from ivory to grapes. In 2002 Nicolas purchased his own vineyards in Anjou where he grew both Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. 50 year old Cabernet Franc vines planted on clay/limestone soils. A subtle and elegant wine with lots of depth of fruit and flavour. It's organic, with wild yeast ferments, unfined and unfiltered. Bright cherry and black fruit alongside notes of tomato leaf, earth and spice'.
