2011 Mas de Daumas Gassac RougeRed
Haute Vallee du Gassac, France

Organic, Generational Winery
'In 1970 Veronique and Aime Guibert purchased an old Mas (farmhouse) and an abandoned mill on a property straddling the Gassac River in Languedoc. The Guilberts were inexperienced with viticulture and therefore employed the help of Emile Peynaud, a famous Bordeau Oenologist. Under his guidance, they discovered the potential of this exceptional terroir, insisting they plant Cab Sauv. This along with Massal cuttings from some of the best grapes from the best vineyards around the Mediterranean, creating an incredibly complex Cabernet blend that is a bucket list wine'.
